Background:

I graduated from Teutopolis,Illinois.(home of the Wooden Shoes) I received my special/elementary degree from Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois.

My first teaching job was at Effingham, St. Anthony for 11 years, teaching 4th through 6th grades.  I moved up here in 1995 and started teaching at St. Thomas.  This will be my 15th year at St. Thomas.  I have taught the 3rd grade up to the 8th grade.  I enjoy the level I am at now the best!!

I married Jim, who is also a graduate from T-Town.  He is the Chief financial officer at Premier Coop located in Champaign. We have 5 beautiful children.  Carrie is 25 and was married in 2009. She and Brett are proud parents of a boy, Ethan Phillip. Brett is in the Army Reserves.  Carrie graduated from Eastern Illinois University.  Emily, 23, graduated with an accounting degree and is working fulltime in Champaign and is a graduate student at Eastern.  Henry graduated from Augustana College . He is working and helps coach football at Unity.   Ana is a sophomore and playing basketball at Parkland College. Justin is a freshman at Unity High School.  All 5 of our children have graduated from St. Thomas Grade School.   I am honored and I enjoy teaching at St. Thomas.
