LIBRARY

Students visit the library on a weekly basis as a class.  Students are also able to use the library as needed for research.

We appreciate the donations of books and the support of our library through the annual Scholastic Book Fair.

Each year students vote on their favorite award winning books.  These books are purchased for the library and "adopted" by friends, alumni, grandparents, and families of St. Thomas Catholic School.

COMPUTER K-4

Students in Kindergarten through Fourth Grade learn keyboarding skills using a program called Typing Pal.  It is an online program that allows students to learn the basics of keyboarding and to improve their typing skills.

Mrs. Baird's students also use various web sites that focus on letter recognition, pre-reading and reading skills.

Mrs. McDonald's class uses the Houghton-Mifflin web site, eduplace.com, to study vocabulary words. This web site has many interactive features for all grade levels.

In addition to using Typing Pal, Mrs. Reinhart's class usually visits various web sites to do research for Social Studies or Science.

Students attend Computer Class once a week.  The lab is available at various items throughout the week if teachers need to use it for other classroom projects.
